A Film by Itshak Grad (Israel, 2006, 95 Minutes, Color, Hebrew, English subtitles, Cast: Gal Zaid, Keren Mor, Asher Tsarfati, Ya'acov Ayaly, Ania Bukshtein )
Foul Gesture follows a week in the life of Michael Klienhouse, your typical next-door neighbor, married with a child, the one you think you already figured out .
On the morning of Holocaust Memorial Day, minutes before the siren is due to be heard, Michael runs into Dreyfus. Tamar, Michael's wife, Tamar, flips Dreyfus 'the finger', and Dreyfus deliberately hits the gas pedal of his black car and runs into Michael's open car door, almost hitting Tamar. A law-abiding citizen, Michael hopes to resolve the situation with the help of the authorities, only to discover that the 60-year-old Dreyfus, an old war hero, is a violent man with connections and friends in high places.
Michael, struggling with a personal crisis, finds it difficult to give up to the 'power' and the following days become his own personal nightmare. At the same time, the fight instills in him a new sense of life, an energy that had almost been lost.
Foul Gesture will keep you at the edge of your seat while portraying the clear and harsh reality of modern day Israel.
